I am in the international trade and need to often travel to middle east countries like Saudi Arabia and dubai. I have flown with Indian Airlines from Kolkata to dubai. It has two routes . One which travels via mumbai and one which is a direct flight to dubai.
Indian Airlines has a brand value and it sure does live up to it. Once you reach the gate of the flight you are greeted with air hostesses with a good persona and a smile on their face. They have a dress code wherein they wear a cap with some fabric flowing out of it.
Its somewhat in arabic style and is quite elegant. Once you enter the aircraft you feel an air of freshness in your nostrils. Each aircraft has an inflight entertainmeny system wherein you can watch movies which are offered in various langauges or simply listen to music. They have small tv screens installed which gives details like the time left to reach destination, the speed and height of the aircraft etc.
It also displays the geographical location of the aircaft. This feature is quite interesting. Not to forget to mention its business class in which I have travelled sometimes. Its a luxury. Especially if you get to experience the airbus business class. They will make you feel like a Vip. It has an inflight bar and evn if you do not indulge in drinking you would want to spend some time there . The crew attend each passenger personally for any of their specific requirement such as food or pillow/blankets etc. It is an awesome feeling. All in all I would say that it has lived up to its reputation.
